We wanted to cap off the trip by sharing the experience. We chose to share it with SEED, an organization based out of hometown Madurai, focused on providing holistic education to underprivileged children. Given the all-rounded focus for the children, we thought it would be an opportunity to expand the horizon for the children with the focus on culture and general planning. On the same note, a privilege for the boys to prepare and share their experiences in their own words. To that extent, the boys had put together decks for each of the countries.
Over a Sunday, the children had gathered in a communal hall in Madurai, home town where I grew up. On the fly, the boys adopted well to cover contents that would better reach the children. Faris beautifully switched to Tamil and incited enthusiasm in the children with many Q&A.
Narein had Mom as a translator to cover the countries he had prepared for. The breakout groups with Q&A with different age group got engaging with pointed questions.
The occasion was graced by the friends and family members.
We hope the journey continues on in the coming years…
